CARE & MAINTENANCE

Tatami mat:
All tatami mats should be kept dry to prevent mold. We recommend that you only wipe your tatami with a slightly damp cloth and do not use aggressive cleaning agents or vacuum along the weave of the tatami. Vacuuming against the weave can damage the tatami or push dirt into it. When vacuuming, make sure to select the lowest setting.

Tatami mats are sensitive to moisture, make sure there is some circulation, above or below. We recommend cleaning and airing the tatami occasionally. Dry and sunny days are best to air the tatami mats.

Dust:
Our blended fabric is made of 80% cotton and 20% polyester. Clean only with dry cloth to avoid stains.
